Skills — playbooks for the job at hand
A skill is a production playbook Presley loads when the task needs it — structure rules, tool recipes, format quirks. One agent, many skills, not a shelf of single-purpose bots.
What a skill actually is
When you ask for a deck, Presley doesn't improvise slide layout from scratch — it loads the presentation-design skill: slide structure rules, typography defaults, QA checklists, and the exact tool recipe. Ask for a podcast episode and it loads a different playbook — script format, two-voice pacing, mixing notes. Skills are how one agent stays one agent while producing polished work across very different formats.
The agent picks the skill that fits the task — you don't manage anything for the common cases.
Installed skills sit in your Skills/ folder — plain files you can open, read, and keep.
Skills you install or write are visible to your agent only — nobody else can read your Skills directory.
What's already built in
Presley ships with the production playbooks behind the formats on this site — presentation-design, pptx-native-build, document-authoring, plus the podcast and narrated-video pipelines. These are the same skill definitions that produce the work in the showcase, not demo scripts.
You never install the built-ins — they're part of the agent, versioned with the product, and refined by the same correction loop that learns your house style.
The ClawHub marketplace, inside the chat
Need a playbook that isn't built in? Type /skill in the chat input and a
palette opens with three tabs:
A ranked shelf of the ClawHub marketplace's most-installed skills — a fast way to see what the ecosystem is actually using.
Live search across ClawHub as you type — YouTube workflows, copywriting styles, research patterns, domain-specific formats.
Click Install and Presley fetches the skill into your workspace and confirms it in chat — no file management, no restart. Remove works the same way.
Installed skills appear in your Skills/ folder and are available to the agent on the next task — write your own by dropping a
Markdown playbook there, and it shows up in the same palette.
