Email — your agent has an inbox

Every account gets a personal task address. Forward it an email — a brief, a document, a forwarded thread — and the agent works it like any other task, then replies by email.

How it works

1. Find your task address

In the app, open Settings → Notifications. Your personal address looks like task-…@getonepress.com — unique to you, random, and rotatable.

2. Send it an email

Write or forward anything: "Summarize this report", "Turn this thread into a deck", "Research these three competitors". The email body becomes the task — attachments are saved into your workspace and the agent reads them with its file tools.

3. Get the Re: reply

When the run finishes, the result lands in your inbox as a normal Re: reply — text, a link to the deliverable, and the finished file attached when it makes sense to send one. Just hit Reply to continue — follow-ups stay in the same conversation.

Every thread is its own conversation

A new email thread opens a new conversation in the app — titled by the subject, so "Q3 marketing plan" and "Contract review" don't mix contexts. Replying inside a thread continues that conversation; starting a fresh email starts a fresh one.

Attachments, both ways

You → agent

Attach PDFs, docs, spreadsheets, images — they land in your workspace's email inbox and the agent reads them directly. Up to 5 files per email.

Agent → you

Ask the agent to email you the result — PDF exports, ZIP bundles, any workspace file — or let it attach the deliverable to the Re: reply automatically.

Replies can carry full HTML formatting — so a weekly report your automation sends can look like a real newsletter, ready to forward to clients.

Spam control

Task addresses are long random tokens — they can't be guessed. Mail to unknown addresses is dropped silently. If your address ever leaks or starts attracting spam, press Rotate in Settings → Notifications: you get a fresh address instantly and the old one goes dead. Inbound mail is also rate-limited, so a flood can't burn your credits.

What it's good for

  • ↪️ Forward a thread — "summarize this and draft a reply" without copy-pasting.
  • 📎 Send a document for work — contract, report, CSV — from any mail client on any device.
  • 📬 Scheduled reports — pair with Automations and the weekly report arrives as a formatted email you can forward.

Your task address is waiting

Settings → Notifications → Task email. Send yourself a test message and watch the reply.
